Dr. Griet Voet is a member of the Belgian Society of Dermatology. Since 2013, she has been practising dermatology with great passion and dedication. Dr. Griet Voet obtained a doctor’s degree from the Catholic University of Leuven in 2005. She initially specialised in neurology for over two years before redirecting her focus to specialise in dermatology.

In 2012 she graduated as a dermatologist-venerologist at Ghent University. In early 2013, she opened her practice Dermatologie on the Kouter in Ghent. At the end of 2022, she opened Clinique Dermatologie Gent in the heart of the city. Here, you have access to the latest techniques and technologies for rejuvenating, beautifying, or restoring your skin according to your wishes.

Dr. Voet enriches her knowledge and experience with training and participation in numerous national and international conferences. She is a progressive and driven doctor in the field of digitising birthmarks and your entire skin surface for the purpose of preventive skin cancer screening. Dr. Voet is the initiator of www.huidscan.be, an exclusive 3D skin scan that optimises the detection of skin cancer and elevates the quality of care to the highest level.

Dr. Liesbet De Wachter graduated in 2005 as a dermatologist-venerologist at the Catholic University of Leuven. She established her private practice in Waasmunster and also worked with a colleague dermatologist in Aalst until 2008. Because she believes that you can do more together than alone, she chose in 2021 to join the team of Dermatologie Gent. Dr. De Wachter annually participates in Dutch-language Continuing Education for Dermatology courses to ensure that your treatment is always up-to-date. The health of the skin is the result of a complex interplay of genes and the environment. Dr. De Wachter takes a holistic approach to each patient. She will discuss with you which treatment suits you best. If you view the skin as a barometer for inner health, then Dr. De Wachter is the right doctor for you.

In October 2018, Dr. Nele Vande Velde started specialising in dermatology at the Catholic University of Leuven. After training in Leuven and Heerlen, she graduated as a specialist in dermatology-venereology in September 2023 and then joined the team of Clinique Dermatologie Gent full-time.

Dr. Vande Velde wrote a master’s thesis on Merkel cell carcinoma and developed specific medical guidelines for its diagnosis and follow-up, which are used in university centres. She has a wide range of interest in general dermatological diseases and dermato-oncology.

In 2013, Dr. Bernd Lannau received his recognition as a general practitioner from Ghent University with great distinction. After this, he moved to the United States for two years, where he studied plastic surgery. During this period, he passed the necessary US medical exams (USMLE) that allowed him to apply for his medical license in the USA.

In 2016, Dr. Lannau started his education in plastic surgery at the University Hospital Ghent, and in 2021, he received his recognition as a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic doctor. In addition, he did a fellowship in Istanbul and Ankara to further specialise in various aspects of aesthetic surgery with a particular interest in nose jobs (rhinoplasty). Dr. Lannau can help you with medical, aesthetic and reconstructive interventions.

Dr. Joren Brassine graduated in 2019 with a master's degree in Medicine at the Catholic University of Leuven. He is a passionate physician in the field of aesthetics and has followed additional training in the Netherlands. Dr. Brassine stays up-to-date with the latest developments for your skin care and beauty. He regularly participates in aesthetic congresses at home and abroad.

Dr. Brassine has a particular interest in hair-related issues, including hair loss and hair transplantation. His goal is to make people grow old in a beautiful and natural way. His focus is not only on anti-ageing, but also on pure, radiant skin. He treats his patients with patience and in calmness, as he believes that satisfaction and aesthetics go hand in hand.

Dr. Fran Baete graduated with a master's degree in Medicine from Ghent University in 2022. She is very interested in skin diseases and aesthetics and joins the team of Clinique Dermatologie Gent to further grow within this field. She has a passion for medical literature, scientific research, and consulting with colleagues to delve into challenging cases to test and expand her knowledge. To ensure that her aesthetic procedures are of the highest quality, she attends specialised training courses to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations and provide her patients with the best care. She has an eye for aesthetics, natural beauty and the appearance of your skin.

Irene Vansteenland completed her bachelor’s degree in podiatry and pursued additional training to specialise in diabetes-related issues. Irene Vansteenland obtained her master's degree in podiatry at the University of Brighton and did additional scientific research on diabetic foot screening. Her knowledge and expertise strengthens the team of Clinique Dermatologie Gent for all foot and nail problems.

Dr. Thibaut Claerhout studeerde af als master in de Geneeskunde aan de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 2022. Hij volgde bijkomende stages in de plastische, reconstructieve en esthetische heelkunde om vanaf oktober 2023 het team van Clinique Dermatologie Gent fulltime te vervoegen.

Als auteur van verschillende wetenschappelijke artikels en spreker op medische congressen, verdiept hij zich het liefst in esthetische behandelingen en ingrepen. Zijn kennis van dermatologie en plastische chirurgie in combinatie met collegiaal overleg tussen de artsen onderling biedt hem een ruime blik op de waaier van esthetische behandelmogelijkheden. Met een persoonlijke en gerichte aanpak houdt hij ervan de natuurlijke schoonheid te liften tot de ultieme wellbeing.

Dr. Liesbeth De Volder behaalde eind september 2023 haar masterdiploma in de huisartsgeneeskunde aan de Universiteit Gent. Tijdens haar opleiding had zij een grote interesse voor huidziekten en ging zij zich meer verdiepen binnen dit vakgebied. Ze richtte zich op de eerstelijnsgezondheidszorg van huidaandoeningen waardoor zij vlot samenwerkt met de collega’s dermatologen. Intercollegiaal overleg staat centraal voor haar. Zij ondersteunt het team van artsen van Clinique Dermatologie Gent en staat garant voor een goed behandelplan voor haar patiënten. Ze behandelt met oog voor detail en nauwkeurigheid.
