How can you make your hands look younger?
HLN, 3 September 2026
Dr Griet Voet in HLN on treatments for younger-looking hands: Botox®, laser and skinboosters, and how to protect your hands every day.

Hands often betray your age, because they get a lot of sun and are cared for less than the face. In HLN, Dr Griet Voet discusses treatments for younger-looking hands together with doctors Jetske Ultee and Hannah Aerts. Botox® in the back of the hand to rejuvenate the skin is on the rise in the United Kingdom, but according to Dr Voet not yet in Belgium. In the palms, however, Botox® has long been used against excessive sweating.
Dr Voet also mentions laser treatment, which improves texture and pigmentation spots from sun damage, and skinboosters with hyaluronic acid. At home, she recommends applying a high SPF to the backs of the hands every day, considering UV-protective gloves and keeping the skin well moisturised.
Key advice
Apply a cream with a high SPF to the backs of your hands every day.
Keep your hands well moisturised, for example with a hand mask.
Laser can improve texture and pigmentation spots on the back of the hand.
“For skin rejuvenation we treat the backs of the hands; for excessive sweating, the palms.” — Dr Griet Voet
