Dr Griet Voet on Radio 2

Radio 2 made a report on the common problem of dry skin during the winter months and asked our dermatologist Dr Griet Voet for advice. In the programme Ann & Daan, the presenters looked for solutions for listener Joris, who struggles every winter with tight, dry skin.

Dr Griet Voet explains that winter weather has a major impact on the skin. The lower humidity causes the natural protective layer to weaken more quickly, so dryness and irritation occur more often. One of her tips is to replace classic soaps with gentler oil-based formulas that strip less oil from the skin. This keeps the skin barrier more intact and makes the skin feel more comfortable.
