UVB and PUVA therapy
Scientifically substantiated light treatments
UVB and PUVA therapy are scientifically substantiated light treatments used for various dermatological and inflammatory skin conditions.

Light therapy is a safe, scientifically substantiated way to treat a wide range of skin conditions using specific wavelengths of light. At our clinic in Gent, we apply UVB, PUVA and LED light therapy in a targeted way, each time with precise dosing tailored to the condition and skin type.
UVB therapy (phototherapy)
This is mainly used for conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, urticaria and chronic itching. The ultraviolet light suppresses inflammatory reactions in the skin and thus helps restore its natural balance.
PUVA therapy
This uses harmless visible light in various colours and wavelengths. Depending on the spectrum used, LED light can be applied for wound healing, acne, rosacea, skin ageing and recovery after aesthetic treatments. It stimulates the renewal of skin cells, improves microcirculation and promotes the restoration of the skin barrier.
Our practice works with advanced light systems that guarantee optimal dosing and safety, for targeted, efficient and skin-friendly therapy tailored to each patient.
